wrightrax: common remix.

dl: COMMON f/ LILY ALLEN - Drivin Me Wild (WrighTrax remix) (YSI) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm still skeptical about Lily Allen. "Smile" inexplicably annoyed, and the grossness of "Alfie" just made me hate her. Then "Drivin Me Wild" dropped. I avoided it because of my disdain for her, finally caving in and watching the video. Not only was it a completely enjoyable song, but Lily Allen is actually quite charming in the video. I was surprised it wasn't a bigger hit! But, um, I still don't like Lily Allen.

WrighTrax
is a production duo that recently signed with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music. They do a lot of work with the virtually ignored Big Sean, and seem to have some affiliation with that Can't Tell Me Nothing mixtape that featured those CRS and "Young Folks" joints everyone inexplicably went crazy about last year. This same mixtape also featured a track by Really Doe that sampled Jennifer Hudson singing "Move" in Dreamgirls, which few people inexplicably went crazy about. Not even the gays!

But I'm getting off topic. Well, I don't think I was ever on topic in the first place. WrighTrax's remix of "Drivin Me Wild" provides a less cutesy alternative to the original, making it seem like Lily Allen has a little bit of street cred.

prince: golden globed.

LISTEN: PRINCE- Song of the Heart
(soundtrack tune, streaming at AOL music)
- buy it - site it -

For me, the best news coming out of the Golden Globe Awards is that PRINCE won for Best Original Song. Sure, Jennifer Hudson took home Best Supporting Actress, but let's face it...we saw that coming from a mile away. Seeing Prince nab an award after Mr. Timberlake tried to deliver a slap to the face was great. Seeing Timberlake present the award? Priceless.

This feud is no feud at all. Prince is a superior artist on so many levels-- producing, writing, and performing every aspect of his music. Just because Timberlake is topping the charts now, that doesn't mean that he will have any relevance to the history of pop music in the future. Like, I love you Justin, but you need to become your own man before you start talking big. I saw you tryin' to act cute on TV, and it wasn't cute. Just stop. Make some brilliant pop music under the direction of Timbaland. Don't act like you're ground-breaking.

Returning to Prince, "Song of the Heart" is an amazing (not to mention gosh-darn cute) song.
